Mission Viejo Homes for Sale and Real Estate

Mission Viejo has a suburban feel. The community is mostly residential and features beautiful tree-lined streets and neighborhoods and has been recognized as such by the National Arbor Day Foundation. The city is well-known for its safety and in 2007 was recognized by a crime statistic survey as being the safest in America. In 2009 it was third safest in the country. Most of Mission Viejo was built in the 1970s and 1980s. At this time demand was so high for properties in this area that homes sold out before construction ever began.
